There was a massive, sudden blow up of the power station in Eldorado Park on Sunday morning which has caused a power outage in the community. Community members have had to live without electricity for 7 days as City Power attempts to restore the power station as a whole. While it is unclear what caused the explosion community leaders have made allegations that this may be an attempt to sabotage the newly elected Patriotic Alliance who has taken over running Eldorado Park. Residents have grown weary of the situation and have taken matters into their own hands by protesting. These protests have caused unrest within the community as community members feel let down by community leaders and feel like the electricity issue should have been resolved at a faster rate. Residents have also taken note of the fact that a neighboring community Pimville has had an outage after them however their power was restored faster.
